Portrait Session with Emily Lupi

Emily Marie Lupi, she got her middle name from her grandmothers. Her nickname is Em. She is in photography because she wants to be able to take better pictures. Photoshop interests her and she wants to learn the importance of all the different functions on the camera. If she could take a picture of anything it would be the coral reef. This picture of her shows her personality because she is a happy person. She would describe herself as a carefree person but also has an attitude. If she could improve something about herself it would be to try and work harder. In 10 years she sees herself getting out of college and starting a job. She may often be found at softball practice. A part of pop culture she wished would go away is people saying bae. A habit she would like to break is biting and picking at her nails. Her greatest flaw is waiting until the last minute to do things. If she was a super hero she would want to be able to be there for special needs children because she doesn’t like to see them get made fun of. Lastly if she could eat at 1 restaurant for the rest of her life it would be Aroogas.

Sketchbook cover

1. I used my phone to take my main picture.

2. This is a good photo because it has good lighting, it is focused, the color is good,and it is clear.

3. This photo is sentimental because I took it when I went to the beach with my family from Missouri and when I look at it it brings back good memories.

4.the theme of my sketchbook cover is the beach.this showcases my identity because I love everything about the beach! The sand, waves, and sunsets. They are all such beautiful things.

5. The other images that I used were seashells, sand dollar, and starfish. These relate to my theme because they are things that you can find on the beach.

6. I used the chosen principle of design in my sketchbook cover by cutting up a picture of the beach and then putting it back together. Then putting seashells in the corners and used stickers to spell out Emma down the side.

You want the person who looks at your photograph to feel an emotion when they look at it.  Like Tanveer Badal most amateur photographers take pictures of anything in sight. The good photos are the ones that have the emotion behind them. Also when the photo has a meaning behind it the person viewing that photo will likely remember it better. Another thing that a good photo has is a story behind it. A good photo draws the attention of the audience. Obviously the lighting and focus matters too but you want your photo to have an emotional purpose. That is what I have learned from reading this article.

Best photo

This photo is personal to me because it brings back good memories from the time I went to the beach with my family from Missouri. I believe this is a good photo because the filter makes the colors brighter, the lighting is good, and there is a story behind it.
